Email Configuration
For email notification to occur, Email Configuration must first be setup. To send email, BIMrx® Cloud Manager Jobs utilize the industry-standard SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) email messaging system. Each organization seeks to enforce a specific set of standards and requires credentials to maintain the integrity of corporate or organizational security. It is therefore usually necessary to contact the corporate IT department to obtain these settings. If there are any questions or problems, as always, reach out to Microdesk Technical Support.
The Email Configuration button is available at any time to do initial setup or modify an existing configuration. From the Jobs Properties toolbar, press the ‘Email Configuration’ ( or ) button and the Email Configuration Settings screen appears.
When a contacting IT, provide them with the following fields that will need to be filled out for entry in the above screen.
