The VNC Password field is included as a convenience and is not required by the Jobs system to interact with the remote server. Many organizations utilize TightVNC, RealVNC, UltraVNC and similar VNC (Virtual Network Computing) applications — many available for free — to login to remote computers across their network. Therefore, to assist these users, we have provided a place to store the VNC login password within Naviate Cloud Manager, as part of the definition for each Server. The intention is to provide safe and convenient access to it when needed, including the ability to copy it to the Windows Clipboard with the click of a button.

If, on the other hand, this password is either not used or it is against policy to keep it in this manner, it is not required that it be entered here.
