As part of the Microdesk/Symetri merger, BIMrx® Cloud Manager has been renamed and from this point on will be known as Naviate Cloud Manager to align with the Naviate identity.

This change affects only the application name, logo and colors. It has no impact on it's features or functionality, which all remain the same.  The Naviate-branded Cloud Manager has, in fact, been appearing in User Guide screen shots for some time now, so regular readers should not be surprised.

At the same time, a next-generation platform was introduced to provide a modern foundation for future innovation and growth, Naviate Nebula.

Capabilities from Naviate Cloud Manager have been progressively incorporated into Naviate Nebula. This migration effort is now entering its final phase, with the remaining functionality scheduled for completion October 2027 (link to an announcement/email?)

Naviate Cloud Manager will continue to be supported until its announced end-of-support date. After that time, all ongoing development, enhancements, and support services will be provided exclusively through Naviate Nebula.

Both current and prospective customers are encouraged to plan for adoption of the new platform to take advantage of the latest features, improvements, and long-term support roadmap.

What to expect from Naviate Nebula?

  • Future improvements to Naviate Cloud Manager features and workflows will be released in Naviate Nebula.
  • Uploading, downloading, publishing, and management workflows will move to Naviate Nebula.
  • Export workflows, including PDF, NWC, DWG, and IFC exports, will move to Naviate Accelerate.
  • Current Naviate Cloud Manager Pro customers already have access to Naviate Accelerate. Access to Naviate Accelerate will be included with all Naviate Nebula and Naviate Cloud Manager licenses in the future.
  • Naviate Nebula’s updated security requires user-based authentication, moving away from less secure custom integrations in Naviate Cloud Manager.

Why are we making this change?

Bringing these capabilities together will provide:

  • web access without the need to install desktop software
  • automatic updates and more frequent releases
  • improved publishing features, logs and workflow setup
  • fewer jobs (automation tasks) to configure and maintain
  • stronger security, testing, certifications and supporting documentation
  • MCP server capabilities for custom AI workflows
  • Access to Naviate Accelerate
  • support, training, and regular office hours with our product specialists
